Goodpaster Hall

At St. Mary's we are preparing our students for the future through hands-on and collaborative experiences from the start. Small classes, dedicated teachers, and a curriculum designed to hone keen intellectual skills give our students an excellent education that will serve them throughout their lives.

Located between Schaefer Hall and Townhouse Crescent, Andrew J. Goodpaster Hall will house the departments of chemistry, educational studies, and psychology. In addition to classrooms and faculty offices, the building accommodates a 75-seat lecture hall and multi-media classroom with two-way video-conferencing capability and state-of-the-art laboratories.

Goodpaster Hall is the first “green” building at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and has received a Silver rating from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ - the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. The State of Maryland has selected Goodpaster Hall as one of two “fully green” buildings for a pilot project.
