2009 Photography Contest Winners
The St. Mary's College of Maryland Governor's Cup Yacht Race Photography Competition started eleven years ago and captures dramatic shots of the sailboats captured by some of the best photographers on the Eastern Seaboard. The competition recognizes excellence and creativity in capturing the spirit of the Chesapeake Bay's oldest overnight yacht race. Each year, scores of photographs are submitted and judged in three categories: color, black and white, and post-race. Winning photos are honored during the following Governor's Cup Yacht Race awards ceremony at the College's waterfront.
