Welcome to the St. Mary's College Counseling and Health Center!

Health Services and Counseling Services are housed at the Counseling and Health Center. We are separate services that enjoy working closely together to address the holistic needs of our student community. The services offered at the Center have been specifically designed to address issues related to college student development and to give students the assistance and support needed to successfully manage the physical and emotional challenges of the college years.

Life in college is a time of great change and personal growth. It is exciting, satisfying, and sometimes challenging. We understand that students need many kinds of support to help them succeed at college. Our primary goal is to support students in negotiating a healthy transition to adulthood. We respect the dignity and worth of all students as maturing individuals with unique perspectives and contributions to make including those which reflect gender, race, creed, family and ethnic background, socioeconomic status, physical ability and sexual orientation.

In addition to health, wellness and psychological services, the Counseling and Health Center provides individual and campus wide educational outreach through specialized programs, including

This web page describes our services in more detail and provides links to Health Services and Counseling Services, other offices on campus, a large collection of self-help materials, online screenings, and more.
