Welcome New Students
As a student of St. Mary's College, you are given certain access rights to the St. Mary's computer network. Accessing the St. Mary's computer network is a privilege, and we ask that you follow certain guidelines while you're using them. Failure to follow these guidelines may cause you to lose network access.
- Keep your computer up to date with the latest security patches and critical updates.
- Have anti-virus software installed on your computer with current definition updates.
- Install anti-spyware and anti-adware software, with current updates downloaded (Windows only).
- Have a 'good' network password and change it often.
Hardware Recommendations
If you are looking to purchase a new computer for the 2009-10 academic year, please see the following hardware recommendations. These are the minimum recommended hardware configurations; of course, if you'd like you may purchase above these configurations.
