Assistant Director of Health Services
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Health Services. The Assistant Director of Health Services is the primary health care provider for students. Responsibilities include managing confidential health services and providing comprehensive health care services to students, leading health promotion and education efforts on campus. This position works with a student group that supports health promotion and education outreach, programming, and events; and supervises contractual nursing staff.
Qualifications: Minimum of a master’s of science in nursing and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience in public health education and certification as a CHES/MCHES preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in managing a nursing team, providing primary health care services, and providing health promotion and education. Supervisory experience of student groups preferred. Demonstrated experience advocating for and providing resources for racial/ethnic, religious, and LGBTQ minorities on a college campus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. This employee is a member of the Wellness Center team and is expected to function collaboratively and professionally with other Wellness Center staff, student affairs professionals, and administrators at the college. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
