Intern Athletic Trainer (9-month contingent position)
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for the position of Intern Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities include: assisting the certified athletic trainer’s with day-to-day operations, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes; maintaining medical records; attending team practices and events. This is a 9 month contingent position, from August 15 – May 15.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree from a CAATE approved institution, NATABOC certified, first aid & CPR certified and State of Maryland Licensed or eligible for licensure. Must be able to travel, work weekends, and work in all types of weather. Must be able to work flexible hours. A stipend of $10,000 will be provided, as well as housing; no other benefits provided. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
