Office Associate II in the Office of Facilities Planning
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting résumés for the position of Office Associate II, serving the office suite of Facilities Planning. The successful candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize workload. Responsibilities include performing complex duties such as record keeping, follow-up functions, and administrative detail to assist the directors and department staff in implementing departmental programs. Must be well organized and possess good administrative and interpersonal skills. With supervision & instruction, ability to draft drawings using electronic drawing programs. Receives minimal supervision and independently exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas; may handle confidential and sensitive issues.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred. Applicant must have thorough working knowledge of modern office practices and various computer software packages, be well-organized and attend to details, able to handle sensitive situations, and possess strong verbal and written communications skills with at least five years of full-time employment in the secretarial/administration field. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
