Speak Spanish, learn about Argentine society and culture, develop writing and research skills, and volunteer in Argentina. Semester program is designed for both non-majors with only one year of Spanish and students with advanced skills in the language.

Study Tours: Academic Courses Abroad with SMCM Faculty

Phase 1: Apply to the Program

Pre-requisites: Students who wish to apply for study in Bordeaux need to have completed one upper-level (300 or above) French course prior to studying abroad.

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
October 15 for spring semester study abroad
March 1 for fall semester study abroad

Signed Confirmation Email - (The Online Profile will send you an email that needs to be signed and returned to the Office of International Education)	Application for Sponsorship
Scholarship Application -- optional (Application is available as option in online forms once you've created your IE profile)	Accommodation Click on the "LOGEMENT" icon to find about the different lodgings and prices. To request lodging, click on the link "Saisie du dossier social étudiant (bourses et/ou logement universitaire," then choose "Saisir votre dossier social étudiant sans le n° INE ." Print from web and submit to IE Office. More information about how to apply for housing.

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting

Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.

For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:

Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm

Part II - Sciences Po and Bordeaux Programs Pre-departure - Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 4pm - Cobb House Living Room

All sessions will be held in Cole Cinema and refreshments will be served.

Phase 2: Pre-Departure

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
November 7 for spring semester study abroad
April 15 for fall semester study abroad

SMCM IE Office Required Forms Due Nov. 7 for spring semester Due April 15 for fall semester or academic year	Bordeaux 3 Required Forms (your responsibility upon acceptance; forms due by date requested by host institution)
Assumption of Risk and Release	Visa Application
Check-Off Sheet	Visa Instructions
Preapproval of Transfer Credit Form	Other forms as required by Bordeaux 3
Online Registration with State Dept Instructions - Please bring a copy of your completed registration to the IE Office.	IE Office will request transcript for you
Participant Travel and Health Form

Students who wish to use their study abroad program to satisfy the ELAW requirement need to register for CORE 350
