Semester in BORDEAUX

Students with an advanced-level of knowledge in French enroll directly in content courses alongside French peers at Bordeaux 3, a public university located in southwestern France near the Pyrenees and border with Spain.

Study Tours: Academic Courses Abroad with SMCM Faculty

Phase 1: Apply to the Program

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
October 15 for spring semester study abroad
March 1 for fall semester study abroad

Online Profile*	Application form with signature
Signed Confirmation Email - (The Online Profile will send you an email that needs to be signed and returned to the Office of International Education)	Two faculty recommendations One of the two recommendations must be from a professor of Spanish
Scholarship Application -- optional (Application is available as option in online forms once you've created your IE profile)	Copy of personal information page with picture from your passport
	IE Office will request an unofficial transcript

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting

Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.

For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:

Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm

Part II - Program specific session - TBA

All sessions will be held in Cole Cinema and refreshments will be served.

Phase 2: Pre-Departure

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
November 7 for spring semester study abroad
April 15 for fall semester study abroad

SMCM IE Office Required Forms Due Nov. 7 for spring semester Due April 15 for fall semester or academic year	St. Mary's in Argentina Required Forms (your responsibility to submit directly upon acceptance by date requested by host institution)
Assumption of Risk and Release
Online Registration with State Dept Instructions - Please bring a copy of your completed registration to the IE Office.
Pre-approval of Credit Form
Check-Off Sheet
Participant Travel and Health Form
Online Profile (review, update as needed)
Students who wish to use their study abroad program to satisfy the ELAW requirement need to register for CORE 350
