Semester in BORDEAUX

Students with an advanced-level of knowledge in French enroll directly in content courses alongside French peers at Bordeaux 3, a public university located in southwestern France near the Pyrenees and border with Spain.

Study Tours: Academic Courses Abroad with SMCM Faculty

Phase 1: Apply to the Program

	Housing application: download from Payap online application system; complete form, scan and upload as a PDF into online system as part of application. Also print out completed form for IE Office. A copy of the personal information page of your passport (page with photo)

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting

Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.

For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:

Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm

Part II - Pondicherry and Payap Programs Pre-departure - Wednesday, April 4, 2012 - 4:30pm - Glendening Annex

All sessions will be held in Cole Cinema and refreshments will be served.

Phase 2: Pre-Departure

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
November 7 for spring semester study abroad
April 15 for fall semester study abroad

SMCM IE Office Required Forms Due Nov. 7 for spring semester Due April 15 for fall semester or academic year	Payap University Required Forms (your responsibility to submit to Payap or embassy as applicable upon acceptance to program; not by SMCM dates of Nov. 7 or April 15)
Assumption of Risk and Release	Visa Application
Check-Off Sheet	Visa Instructions
Online Registration with State Dept Instructions - Please bring a copy of your completed registration to the IE Office.	A copy of recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finances ($500 per person)
Participant Travel and Health Form	Two (2) official passport-size photos
Preapproval of Transfer Credit Form	Other forms as required by Payap
Online Profile (review, update as needed)
Students who wish to use their study abroad program to satisfy the ELAW requirement need to register for CORE 350
