Phase 1: Apply to the Program

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
October 15 for spring semester study abroad
March 1 for fall semester study abroad

Non-SMCM students need to submit the following forms to their institution's study abroad office as well as consult their guidelines and requirements for participating in this program.  Applications from non-SMCM students must be sent to SMCM by their home campus' study abroad office.

Signed Confirmation Email - (The Online Profile will send you an email that needs to be signed and returned to the Office of International Education)	Two (2) faculty recommendations Recommendations are only needed for the semester program.
Scholarship Application -- optional (Application is available as option in online forms once you've created your IE profile) (SMCM students only)	Copy of personal information page with picture from your passport
Student Disclosure and Approval of Participation Form (Non-SMCM students only)	IE Office will request an unofficial transcript for SMCM students; non-SMCM students need to request an official transcript.

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting

Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.

For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:

Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm

Part II - Program specific session - TBA

All sessions will be held in Cole Cinema and refreshments will be served.

Phase 2: Pre-Departure

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
November 7 for spring semester study abroad
April 15 for fall semester study abroad

Non-SMCM students who have been accepted into the program will send these pre-departure forms directly to the SMCM Office of International Education.

Students who wish to use their study abroad program to satisfy the ELAW requirement need to register for CORE 350 (SMCM students only)
