Students with an advanced-level of knowledge in French enroll directly in content courses alongside French peers at Bordeaux 3, a public university located in southwestern France near the Pyrenees and border with Spain.

Phase 1: Apply to the Program

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
October 15 for spring semester study abroad
March 1
for fall semester study abroad

Non-SMCM students need to submit the following forms to their institution's study abroad office as well as consult their guidelines and requirements for participating in this program.  Applications from non-SMCM students must be sent to SMCM by their home campus' study abroad office.

Student Disclosure and Approval of Participation Form (Non-SMCM students only) IE Office will request an unofficial transcript for SMCM students; non-SMCM students need to request an official transcript.

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting

Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.

For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:

Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm

Part II - Program specific session - TBA

All sessions will be held in Cole Cinema and refreshments will be served.

Phase 2: Pre-Departure

The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
November 7 for spring semester study abroad
April 15 for fall semester study abroad

Non-SMCM students who have been accepted into the program will send these pre-departure forms directly to the SMCM Office of International Education.
