Hong Kong Weather
Hong Kong has a subtropical climate with distinct seasonal changes. Local dress ranges from smart casual to conservative business suits. Typhoon season is May to November. Here's a snapshot of weather by season from the Office of Mainland and International Programmes:
Spring (March to Mid-May)
Temperature: 18°C (64°F) to 27°C (80°F)
Humidity: Around 82%
Prevailing Conditions: Occasional mist and rain showers
What to Wear: Have sweaters and shower proof jackets ready
Summer (Late-May to Mid-September)
Temperature: 26°C (79°F) to 33°C (90°F)
Humidity: Around 86%
Prevailing Conditions: Normally sunny, but during the typhoon season (July - September) there can be heavy rain.
What to Wear: Short sleeves for outdoor wear on sunny days and light-weight sweater for indoors as restaurants tend to turn up the air-conditioning.
