Speak Spanish, learn about Argentine society and culture, develop writing and research skills, and volunteer in Argentina. Semester program is designed for both non-majors with only one year of Spanish and students with advanced skills in the language.

Faculty Committee on Internationalization
The Faculty Committee on Internationalization (FCI) is an ad hoc committee of the Faculty Senate that works to promote the goals of internationalizing the St. Mary's experience. The FCI is made up of five faculty members, selected by the Faculty Senate for three-year terms, and the director of International Education (ex officio).
The FCI promotes internationalization efforts through its own set of duties and responsibilities and its contributions to the International Management Team. The FCI's duties are:
- Serve as the liaison to the full Faculty, the Faculty Senate, the Provost, the International Education Management Team, and other relevant committees or organizations related to the mission of comprehensive internationalization at SMCM.
- Review and make recommendations on proposals from faculty for
- new study tours and semester abroad programs,
- exploratory and maintenance trips for such activities; and
- academic and programmatic initiatives to further the goal of internationalization.
- Award SMCM scholarships for study abroad.
