Traveling Abroad as a Study Tour Leader
Faculty who serve as study tour leaders have a variety of support throughout the program development and implementation processes.
Program ApprovalEach program would undergo a review and approval process each time it is offered. The Office of International Education offers guidelines and templates for program documentation that you as study tour leader would write and submit to the Director of International Education to launch the approval process. The Director of International Education will steer the documentation through the approval process. Documentation is due in April of the spring semester prior to the academic year in which the study tour would be offered.
Forms by students due to the IE Office
All study tour participants -- leaders and students -- are required to complete a set of forms for the College prior to departure.
Please submit the following forms by:
- November 7 for winter break, spring break, or spring semester study abroad programs
- April 15 for summer or fall semester study abroad programs
- Online Profile
- Online Study Abroad Program Application
- Assumption of Risk and Release
- Online Registration with State Dept

Pre-departure Meeting
Study-abroad students are required to attend pre-departure orientation sessions before leaving for their chosen program.
For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:
Part I - Wednesday, March 8, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm
Part II - Program specific session - TBA
