The Archive provides for the acquisition, organization, description, preservation, and access to unique materials which preserve and document the history of St. Mary’s College of Maryland.  The collection tracks the school’s journey from a female seminary to a high school, a high school/junior college, a junior college, a four-year baccalaureate institution, and finally Maryland’s public honor’s college, which consistently ranks among the nation’s top public liberal arts colleges. The archive also collects items related to the history of St. Mary’s County. Important manuscript collections include the papers of J. Frank Raley, former Maryland Delegate Paul Bailey, and former St. Mary’s president J. Renwick Jackson, Jr.
