Services for Faculty
Library faculty liaisons (also known as subject librarians or reference and instruction librarians) connect teaching faculty to the library's collections and services. Every department and cross-disciplinary area of study has a designated library faculty liaison who is available for
- classroom instruction
- consultation on the development of class assignments
- research assistance
- collection development
Contact your library faculty liaison to learn more about how they can help you.

Faculty may place items on physical or electronic course reserve to support classroom instruction. Please familiarize yourself with the course reserves guidelines and copyright information. Course Reserve request forms are available through the SMCM Portal.
Faculty who would like to reserve a film in preparation for in-class viewing can do so by submitting an Advance Film Reservation Request online.
