The
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Mary's College
of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City invites immediate
applications for a one year visiting position in mathematics
beginning fall 2008 to be filled at the visiting assistant professor
or instructor rank level. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in an area
of mathematics at the time of appointment, or hold an M.A. in
mathematics and have substantial teaching experience at the
undergraduate level. The teaching load is three courses per semester.
Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public Carnegie Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., has been designated as Maryland's public honors college.
