The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Mary's College of Maryland invites applications for a tenure-track position in computer science beginning fall 2007 at the assistant professor level. Applicants must hold (or currently be pursuing) a Ph.D. in an area of computer science and should be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate computer science courses. The teaching load is three courses per semester with a course reduction available in the first year. A commitment to the liberal arts, a desire to pursue research and other professional activities, and an interest in mentoring student projects are expected. Industry experience and a demonstrated ability to attract and retain students from underrepresented groups are desirable. Participation in departmental and all-college activities is expected.
