Welcome
The objective of the Office of Multicultural Initiatives at St.
Mary's is to assist students with their adjustment to the college
environment. More specifically, this is accomplished by encouraging open
lines of communication with all facets of the community, and
systematically assessing the needs and campus experiences of the student
body. Through our services, we endeavor to educate and bring awareness to
our campus community regarding issues of race, gender, age, and other
areas of inequality present within our society.
There are numerous clubs, organizations, and services provided to
reflect the varied interests and needs of St. Mary's students. We hope
our active and passive programs serve to enhance the intellectual and
multicultural experiences of all our community members.
Our activities represent the institutional commitment to create and
advance an environment which values diversity in all forms while
promoting and embracing the celebration, appreciation, and respect for
each of our differences.
