Jazz Combos
Don Stapleson, Director
Members of the St. Mary's Jazz Combos are selected from the Big Band Ensemble. They perform in their own concerts throughout the school year, in addition to being featured during Big Band concerts.
Don Stapleson leads the group through more improvisational and solo-driven pieces, ranging from the bop works of John Coltrane and Miles Davis to the jazz-rock of Herbie Hancock to bossanova and rag time tunes.
