Study Math & Science at SMCM!
Scholarships of $5,000 to $10,000 will be awarded to 10 financially needy incoming students who intend to major in one of the science & math fields at St. Mary’s.
In addition to the financial support, SMCM STEM Navigators will:
- participate in evening workshops in their chosen field.
- be matched with a mentor professor in their chosen field.
- go on field trips with other Navigators.
- participate in an Emerging Scholars Program in their chosen field.
- attend enrichment workshops on summer research opportunities and graduate school.
Scholarships will be given to students in two cohorts:
- incoming first-year students (attending college for the first time) (Deadline: Feb. 1)
- transfer students from community colleges (with two years remaining) (Deadline: Apply ASAP for Fall 2013!)
These awards are renewable annually, provided you maintain good standing in a science or math degree program at SMCM.
