Ping, a vocal group of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, will present two short programs of a cappella music in the Brick Chapel at Historic St. Mary’s on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Under the direction of Professor of Music Larry Vote, the group will present musical selections from the 16th, 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Each performance will last approximately 30 minutes. Parking for the concert will be in the visitor’s center parking lot. The concert is free and open to the public.
The St. Mary’s College vocal group Ping was established in spring 2012; the word “Ping” refers to a sharp resonant sound meant to draw attention. Watch how Ping got started.
