Tom Wisner

"An Evening of Chesapeake Story, Music and Lore," will focus on Wisner's journey from a boyhood vision of the wonders of frogs and crawdads to a realization of the majesty and wonder of the great community of life that is called Chesapeake. The evening will offer not only a sense of how those wonders grew through Wisner's connecting to the oral traditions, visions and mantras of the people and creatures that comprise the Chesapeake, it will also offer opportunities for the audience to engage with and connect to that journey.

Wisner will be accompanied by guitarist Mac Walter on the acoustic guitar. Walter, a much sought-after studio technician, was one of the guitarists who accompanied Wisner on his latest recording, "Made of Water."

St. Mary's College of Maryland is ranked one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Kiplinger's. With roots going back to 1840, SMCM is the state's only public honors college, offering the academic excellence of a top private college with the openness and affordability of public education.
