Carroll Named to All-Rookie Team

Annapolis, MD - The staff at http://womenslacrosse.com released their 2007 Division III All-America and All-Rookie Teams today. Freshman defender Karisa Carroll (Long Island, NY/Ward Melville) represented St. Mary's (Md.) College on the All-Rookie Team. Carroll was one of 16 Division III freshmen honored by the staff. Her All-Rookie accolade can now be thrown in with Carroll's IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region and All-Capital Athletic Conference Second Team selections. She led the Seahawks with 69 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers, while being fifth with 14 draw controls. Carroll was also second in the conference with 4.31 ground balls per game. She added a goal and an assist as well from her defensive position.
