Italian oboist and composer Alberto Cesaraccio will perform with members of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland faculty at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 2, in Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary’s Hall. The musical evening is free and open to the public.
Cesaraccio, principal oboe of the Symphonic Orchestra of Sassari in Italy, has extensively toured throughout Europe. He will be performing with Jose Cueto on violin, Jennifer Rende on viola, and Suzanne Orban on cello. They will be playing Mozart's Oboe Quartet, among other compositions.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
