Open Auditions for "The Bald Soprano"

Public auditions for the Department of Theater, Film, and Media Studies' second play of the academic year at St. Mary's College of Maryland, Eugène Ionesco's comedic "anti-play," The Bald Soprano, will be held 7:30-10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, in the Bruce Davis Theater, Montgomery Hall Fine Arts Center.  Callbacks will be held Tuesday, Oct. 19.  Performance dates are Dec. 8-12.

No experience is required to audition, although reading the play before auditioning is strongly recommended. Copies of the play are on reserve at the circulation desk of the College library. For your audition, prepare a comic monologue of your own choosing.  Principal speaking roles are for three men and three women.
