Film Screening of ‘Tar Creek’

The Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary's College of Maryland presents a screening of "Tar Creek," a film about the worst environmental disaster you've never heard of, followed by a discussion hosted by filmmaker Matt Meyers. The event, co-sponsored by The League of Women Voters and Environmental Studies Department, will begin at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in Cole Cinema in the Campus Center.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
