Latin American Film Series: "War Takes" April 16, 8 p.m., Cole Cinema

"War Takes," a 2002 Columbian documentary, will screen Monday, April 16, at 8 p.m. in Cole Cinema at St. Mary's College of Maryland (SMCM). The screening is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Adriana Brodsky at (240) 895-4108.

"War Takes" (known in Spanish as "Tomas de Guerra") looks at the personal stories of its Columbian filmmakers, Patricia Castano and Adelaida Trujillo, and the difficult but often beautiful realities of their war-ravaged country.
