Assistant Professor in Developmental Psychology

Type of position: Faculty position

Tenure-track position beginning August 2008. Teaching expectations include courses in lifespan and infant and child development, as well as other possible courses, including introductory psychology, research methods, adolescence, and laboratory in developmental psychology. Because both teaching and research are highly valued, we seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as an active research program involving undergraduates. A demonstrated ability to attract and retain students from underrepresented groups is desirable. Ph.D. completed or expected before starting date.

Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a public Carnegie Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution and the public honors college of Maryland, is located near the Chesapeake Bay in Historic St. Mary’s City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C.
