Membership
Membership is open to undergraduate and graduate students who have made the study of Psychology one of their major interests and who meet the minimum qualifications:
- Completion of at least 9 semester hours (or 12 quarter hours) of Psychology.
- Registration for major or minor standing in Psychology or for a program Psychological in nature.
- Undergraduates who are elected to Psi Chi must rank in the upper 35 percent of their class in general academics, and must demonstrate superior scholarship in Psychology courses, earning an average grade of "B" or better.
- High standards of personal behavior.
- Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.
If you meet the membership requirements The Psi Chi faculty sponsor will contact you and invite you to join Psi Chi. All chapters register their inductees at the Psi Chi National Office, where the records are preserved for reference.
