International Trombone Camp sponsors include



The International Trombone Camp was co–founded in 1989 in Bad Worishofen Germany by Abbie Conant, Joe Burnam and Gerhard Wolf, the original faculty of the camp. In 1996 the IT Camp also began operating in Fossano, Italy, adding Jared Rodin and Gianpiero Brignone to its staff. The summer of 2006 saw the first US camp and the further addition of Bryan Bourne to the faculty. Since then, the International Trombone Camp has been in residence at the River Concert Series School.

The International Trombone Camp presented numerous distinguished guest artists including, Jay Friedman, Michael Mulcahy, Charles Vernon, Joseph Alessi, Ronald Barron, Burce Nelson, Heinz Fadle, Carston Svanberg, Stuart Dempster and Jiggs Whigam.

Since its inception, the goal of the International Trombone Camp has been to create a vibrant environment for the exchange of ideas and techniques of trombone performance and study on an international level. Through out the 18 year history of its activity in Germany, Italy and the USA, the International Trombone Camp has intensely followed this goal.
