August 25: Residences open for new students
August 25-28: Orientation for new students
August 27-28: Residences open for returning students at 10 a.m.
August 29: CLASSES BEGIN
August 29-September 9: Schedule-adjustment period and late registration
SEPTEMBER
September 5: Labor Day Holiday: NO CLASSES
September 12: Room change begins
September 12-23: Add and/or drop a course with a $25 fee per add and/or drop
Sep 26-Nov 4: Students may withdraw with a grade of "W" with a $25 fee until Nov. 4
September 23: Last day for students to submit course work to faculty to remove an Incomplete
September 29: Last day to withdraw, without grade penalty, from half-semester course
September 30 – October 2: Family Weekend
OCTOBER
October 7: Last day for instructors to remove an Incomplete
October 10-11: Fall Reading Days: NO CLASSES (residences remain open)
October 17: Mid-semester report deadline
October 17-21: Half-semester courses begin
October 21: Last day to register for a half-semester course beginning at mid-semester
October 31-Nov 4: Academic advising for all degree students currently enrolled
NOVEMBER
November 1: Last day to submit housing contract release request for Spring 2012 with no financial penalties.
November 1: All day advising: NO CLASSES
November 2-11: Registration for degree students
November 4: Last day to withdraw, without a grade penalty, from a full-semester course
November 11: Spring RA applications due
November 14 – 18: Spring RA interviews
November 17: Last day to withdraw, without a grade penalty, from a half-semester course which began at mid-semester
November 18: St. Mary's Projects due to mentor
November 22: Residences close for Thanksgiving recess at 10:00 p.m.
November 27: Residences reopen at 2:00 p.m.
November 28: CLASSES RESUME
DECEMBER
December 1: Last day to submit housing contract release request for Spring 2012 with 10% fee assessment.
December 1: 2012-2013 RA Interest Session
December 9: Last day of regularly scheduled classes
December 9: St. Mary's Projects due in the registrar's office.
December 11 – 15: 23-hour quiet hours in and around the residences
December 12-15: Final Class meetings/exams. Last class meeting scheduled during exams.
December 16: Residences close for Winter Break at noon. Health and Safety Inspections occur.
December 19: Grades due by noon
January 13: Residence halls open for new students
January 13-16: New Student Orientation
January 15-16: Residences open for returning students
January 16: Martin Luther King Holiday: NO CLASSES
January 17: CLASSES BEGIN
January 17-27: Schedule-adjustment period and late registration
January 30: Room change begins

FEBRUARY

March 2: $200 housing deposit & housing contract due on the Portal by midnight

March 5: Special Housing Needs Requests due to ORL.
March 5-9: Half-semester courses begin
March 6: WC Apartment applications & Single room applications due.
March 7: Townhouse applications due.
March 9: Last day to register for a half-semester course beginning at mid-semester
March 9: Residences close at 5:00 p.m. for spring break. Health & Safety Inspections occur
March 12: Spring Break begins
March 18: Residences re-open 2:00 p.m.
March 19: CLASSES RESUME
March 21: 6-person suite applications due
