Letters from Readers

I just read Anne Grulich’s article in the December/January River Gazette (“We Are Still Here: Echoes from Past Generations”) and I thought it was excellent!! I often wonder about the landscape here and the article just really put it all into perspective for me. I think it will make people think about where they are living, working, playing, etc. and make them realize how much history is here. I know I probably think about it way more than other people as an archaeology major, but this is great. Sometimes it seems we only concentrate on certain aspects of the 17th century here. This article explains the real, whole, complete, honest, and true history of this place. I think many people will be surprised by the information they find in this article.
