- What I would like the SGA to accomplish this year: My biggest goal for the upcoming year is to create (or at least begin to create) greater interest in the SGA throughout campus by responding to the wants, questions, and concerns of the campus community directly and effectively. Other goals include encouraging more debate at the Senate level, and continuing to enforce the laws outlined in the constitution without having an overbearing effect on those it was designed to govern.
- Why I wanted to get involved with the SGA: I chose to join SGA because it is the most direct and effective way to inact change and impact what happens on our campus. The SGA is the voice of the students--the most populous and important members of the St. Mary's community--and it is too often overlooked. I hope that I can help, along with the other members of the Senate, and the Executive Board, to give it a stronger voice.

- Major(s): English major, Religious Studies minor
- Residence: Waring Commons
- E-mail: neonley@smcm.edu
- Activities: Program Assistant for the Office of Student Activites
- What I would like the SGA accomplish this year: My goals for the up coming year are to continue all the great work Programs Board has done over the previous years. I want to continue the popular programs like coffeehouse, comedy series and the spoken word series. I also want to develop new ideas for programs. Another goal for the Programs Board is to have another big event on campus like last semester's EVE6 concert.
- Why I wanted to get involved with the SGA: I chose to join the SGA because I wanted to continue working to make the Programs Board better, and working in conjunction with the SGA is integral to that goal. I think that working with the SGA is the best way to accomplish change and to bring new and entertaining programs to the campus.
Lauren Gill
Director of Campus Organizations

- E-mail: lagill@smcm.edu
- Activities: SGA, Tour guide, Orientation Leader, Greenwell Foudation, Women in Science House (WiSH), Outdoors club, Dance club, Sailing and Studied abroad to Costa Rica (Fall 07').
- What I would like the SGA to accomplish this year: This year, I would like to see SGA accomplish its goal of better communication - communication of clubs with the student population, and communication of clubs with other clubs. All student emails can only go so far, and I think by clubs working together with other clubs they can create even bigger and better activities that the entire student body can enjoy. We need to be more aware of all the activities constantly going on around campus, so that we can put all of our SGA clubs to good use.
- Why I wanted to get involved with the SGA: I thought being Club Coordinator would be a great way to learn about every club and what they stand for. I think it's good to be involved on campus and there is no better way to promote that than being involved with the SGA.
