- SGA to accomplish this year: Allowing the transfer students to register a semester earlier as they come into the St. Mary's College of Maryland. Assigning advisors to transfer students a semester before they attend class. Making sure every student transfers as many credits as they can into St. Mary's College of Maryland, and making sure students understand they can transfer up to 70 credits from a junior state college in Maryland and up to 90 credits from a four year state college or university in Maryland. Should transfer students know their major or majors they wish to obtain at St. Mary's College of Maryland a form with only the classes needed to complete the major or majors should be mailed to them once they are accepted. The application process already has a portion where the student checks the academic areas of interest, although this portion of the admission packet is not a declaration of a major it would help the student to know what classes are required to take and what classes they can choose from in the field they are interested in.
- Why I got involved in the SGA: I wanted to help others and be part of St. Mary's College of Maryland. I wanted to play an active role when it comes to deciding issues involving St. Mary's College of Maryland. Being a transfer student I wanted to make known areas in which I think improvement can be made when transfer students are accepted to St. Mary's College of Maryland and the process of registration starts. As a commuter I hope to involve more of the Tri-County area in St. Mary's College of Maryland. St. Mary's College of Maryland is secluded down in St. Mary's County, and whether it be jobs, places to visit, or local knowledge I want students to be able to know where to look in St. Mary's County and all Southern Maryland if they need something St. Mary's College of Maryland can not supply.
- Interesting facts about me: I have three dogs. I enjoy cooking and landscaping. My favorite food is Chocolate Chip Cookies. My favorite flower is the Dream Come True Jackson and Perkins Rose. I have an Associate of Science in Business Administration from College of Southern Maryland. I attended College of Southern Maryland for three years and attended University of Maryland University College for one semester before transferring into St. Mary's College of Maryland. I also enjoy playing board games, putting together puzzles, and painting.

- Why I wanted to get invovled in the SGA: I feel that commuter students have unique concerns and needs and aren't always sure how to go about getting their voices heard. For instance issues such as parking, conserving gas, and cheaper dining options for students not on the meal plan.

- What I would like the SGA to accomplish this year: It would be great like to see more student participation in the Senate. The "Student Speak Out" session is one of our most valuable assets in SGA meetings. Our student body has a lot of great ideas, and I think the SGA is making progress in truly representing the student body by putting emphasis on personal initiatives.
- Why I wanted to get involved with the SGA: The more I look at it, the more I see that St. Mary's is a school run by students for students. Before transferring, I didn't have the opportunity to connect with my school on the level I do now. It's refreshing, and a real honor to serve.
- Something interesting about me: I can't imagine my life without good food, good music, and the right people. I'm also pretty big on running (yes, that's me on the track at 6 am). I make the world's best chocolate mousse.
