The Green St. Mary's Revolving Fund (GSMRF).
On this page, you will find information about GSMRF, how to apply for funding for green energy and energy efficiency projects, and how YOU can get involved with GSMRF!
What is GSMRF?
GSMRF is a revolving loan fund that was created by the SGA in the spring of 2010. The purpose of the fund is to help finance on-campus projects aimed at reducing the College's energy consumption and carbon footprint. GSMRF projects must promote environmental stewardship and fiscal responsibility; as such, all GSMRF projects must demonstrate a quantifiable return on investment that will allow the fund to recoup the initial investment costs of all projects funded. In this way, money will continue to be available for future students and community members to propose projects.
All members of the college community are eligible to propose projects. Students are strongly encouraged to have an advisor (possibly a faculty or staff member) or pre-arranged project overseer.
