CALL FOR MALINOWSKI AWARD NOMINATIONS

The Society for Applied Anthropology invites nominations for the 1991 Malinowski Award. The Award is presented to an outstanding social scientist who has actively pursued the goal of solving human problems using the concepts and tools of social science. The criteria for selection are:

1.The nominees should be of senior status and widely recognized for their efforts to serve the needs of the world through social science.

2. The nominees may be within the academy or outside of it, but their contributions should have implications beyond the immediate, the narrowly administrative, or the political.

3. The nominees should include individuals who reside or work outside the United States.

4. The awardee shall deliver an address at the annual meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology.

Each nomination should contain (1) a letter that outlines the accomplishments of the candidate, (2) a curriculum vitae, and (3) selected publications and other supporting material.

Deadline for the receipt of nominations is January 20, 1991.

1989 INDEX:

The 1989 and 1990 Indexes will both appear in vol. 15,
no. 4, December 1990.
