March 1st will be the 2nd annual installment of St. Mary’s Day. This event has its legacy from the late 90s when the college congregated for Honors Day and grappled with various concepts revolving around what it means to be an honors college. This year is the 20th anniversary of the legislation that designated St. Mary’ College as the honors college in the state of Maryland and it is fitting to take time and recognize our role in this unusual classification. Everyone is encouraged to participate as much as possible. There will be a FREE lunch beginning at noon with a brief event in the Great Room at 12:30 and then from 1:30 on there will be presentations and breakout sessions that will be dedicated to this exploration of who we are as a public honors college. The event will be done by 5pm.
