Kelly Schroeder - Assistant Dean of Students
Kelly supervises the Student Activities office operations to include major campus programming for students, new student orientation, service and social change programs, campus center operations and oversight of the Student Government Association and all of its organizations. She serves on major campus-wide committees including Pre-Matriculation Planning Committee, HawktoberFest at Family Weekend, Institutional Research Review Board, and Campus Pub Operations Group.
Kelly has 24
years of professional experience in higher education including 18 years in
career services and 6 in Students Activities/Dean of Students
office. She has served as a student affairs professional at St. Mary's
College of Maryland for the last 16 years. Mother of 3 kids, the oldest
is a SMCM sophomore.
Clint Neill - Assistant Director
Clint advises the SGA Programs Board in planning free events for students, coordinates programs and services for LGBTQ students, and advises the junior class. Clint also directly supervises SGA Media Techs, program assistants and work-study students who all support the office in many ways. Clint supervises our Campus Center facility and the office's use of technology. Starting this year, Clint will lead the office in focusing on student leadership development and programs focused on civility.
Originally from North Carolina, Clint has been at St. Mary's since 2008. He has worked in various higher education settings, including residence life, student conduct, orientation, and an LGBTQ Center. When away from campus, Clint enjoys spending time with his nephew, is an avid film watcher, and enjoys traveling across the country to see friends.
Sola Ogundele - Coordinator of Orientation and Service Programs
Sola coordinates all aspects of the orientation experience from selecting orientation leaders to planning the new student orientation. She advises the first year and sophomore class executive boards as well as advises major service oriented SGA clubs such as SMCM Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity and For Goodness Sake.
A class of 2010 SMCM alum, Sola is not ashamed of her ridiculous book collection or her love of Deep Space Nine.
Sara Renn - Fiscal Associate II
Sara assists in the
disbursement and maintenance of budget funds related to the Office of Student
Activities, Orientation, and clubs/organizations of the Student Government
Association. She processes payroll for student employees within the aforementioned
divisions, drafts vendor contracts for on-campus performers and service
providers, and reconciles budget transactions and associated records.
Paula Ropshaw - Office Associate II
Paula supports the mission and programs of the Office of Student Activities. She supervise the student workers in the package room and information desk. Paula distributes and tracks student mailbox assignments and keys.
Paula was born in New York, raised in DC, and transplanted to southern Maryland. She loves everything outdoors. When retired, she wants to travel the world, or at least this county. Paula loves all kinds of music and can be heard singing-along to her favorite tunes throughout the day.
