	Elizabeth Arnold (poetry) Winner of a Whiting Writer's award and fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard
	Matt Burgess (fiction) Author of Dogfight, A Love Story, a New York Times Editors' Pick and a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection
	Jeffrey Hammond (creative nonfiction) Pushcart Prize-winning author of Small Comforts: Essays at Middle Age
	Patricia Henley (fiction) National Book Award finalist and author of Hummingbird House
	Jerry Gabriel (conference director) Author of Drowned Boy, winner of the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction

Scholarship Students:

Each workshop will include at least one St. Mary’s College of Maryland student. These individuals have won their positions through the strength of their writing samples and will participate fully in the classes and discussions. They are also serving as staff for the duration of the conference. If you need a tour, want dining recommendations, or have any other problems or concerns, never hesitate to ask one of these six individuals.
