Historic St. Mary's City is an exciting mix of colorful living history and fascinating archaeology, all set in a beautiful tidewater landscape.
Point Lookout State Park (12 minutes from campus)
opportunities abound on this picturesque peninsula formed by the Chesapeake Bay
and the Potomac River. Swimming, fishing, boating, and camping are just a few of
the activities to be enjoyed in this beautiful bay setting. To reach Point
Lookout, head south on Route 5 and follow signs
Elm’s Beach (10 minutes from campus)
This park offers wonderful views of the Chesapeake Bay, as well as swimming, hiking, picnicking, fishing and environmental interpretation.
St. Mary’s River State Park (14 minutes from campus)
River State Park is located along Maryland Route 5, between
Leonardtown and Great Mills, at the end of Camp Cosoma Road. The area is a popular freshwater fishing spot, and over seven miles of trails encircle a large reservoir.
