How to Apply

Tuition and Fees
Workshop $750  ($400 deposit due within two weeks of acceptance)
Meal Plan $165
Housing $320
Total $1235

You may opt to forgo the meal plan and/or the housing option if you are able to make other arrangements.

Applications

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Enrollment is limited. Please follow the directions for applications on Submittable.

Application Guidelines

· To apply in poetry, please upload 4-6 poems.

· To apply in either fiction or creative nonfiction, please upload no more than 15 pages of a story, essay or novel. Include a short synopsis if your manuscript is excerpted from a longer project.

· Please do not include identifying information within your writing sample attachment. 

Deposit & Payment

Upon acceptance, you will receive an email directing you on registration and payment. Payment can be made by either credit card or check. You will need to make a deposit within two weeks of acceptance to secure your spot. The balance for the conference is due by May 5.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Deposits are non-refundable after May 5, 2013.  Registrations after this date must be paid in full.  

Deadlines

April 7 Reading of Youth Workshop applications begins.
May 5 Balance due for Chesapeake Writers' Conference; deposits are non-refundable after this date.
June 3 Balance due for Chesapeake Youth Writers' Workshop; deposits are non-refundable after this date.
