Registration and Fees
The Chesapeake Writers’ Conference is a five-day residential conference.
In order to reserve your space at this summer's Chesapeake Writers' Conference, you must first submit an appropriate writing sample with a cover letter detailing your workshop preference. Please allow 1-3 days for a thorough review of your submission. Accepted writers will receive an email provided link to our registration site, managed by Cvent. Creating a registration account will prompt the writer to select conference options such as room & board. The writer will then be asked to reserve their space by paying a $450.00 deposit via credit card through our secure online registration manager, or by a check mailed to:
St. Mary's College of Maryland
18952 E. Fisher Road.
St. Mary's City, MD 20686
Please make all checks payable to St. Mary's College of Maryland and include Chesapeake Writers' Conference in the memo line. The writer may also decide to pay in full by either method.
Shortly before the start of the conference, the writer will receive a workshop packet including the sample works of all their peers. We ask that the writer read their peers' work seriously, critically, and constructively provide feedback to share during the workshop period.
