Music/Copyright Policy

April 2003

It is a violation of the St. Mary’s College Computer Use Policy to download, via the St. Mary’s College network, copyrighted materials without the permission of the owner. This includes, but is not limited to downloading movies, CD’s, songs or any other copyrighted materials. If any student, staff or faculty member is found to have engaged in this behavior, you can be personally held legally accountable in a court of law and will be subject to disciplinary action by the College, which can include loss of network privileges up to expulsion from the College or termination of employment.

  • Oversight for policy enforcement is the responsibility of Director of Technology Services Support
  • Oversight for student violations – Assistant Dean – Residence Life 
  • Oversight for faculty and staff violations – Provost
