WGSX in the Media: The Summer issue of Ms. has hit the newsstands, featuring a book review written by SMCM's very own Jennifer Cognard-Black!

In her review of Dagmar Herzog's Sex in Crisis: the New Sexual Revolution and the Future of American Politics, Cognard-Black writes "Husbands should be sexual stallions yet buy books such as Every Man's Battle to curb their extramarital fantasies. Wives pray for their own orgasmic ecstasy and yet are told to have sex even when they don't want to. It's these contradictions that reveal the religious right's actual agenda: to keep its constituents sexually anxious and to limit sex to the Christian bedroom."

Look for Ms. on newsstands and read this and other noteworthy pieces or, even better, join the Ms. community at https://store.msmagazine.com/ and have the new issue sent right to your door.

I write for those women who do not speak, for those who do not have a voice because they were so terrified, because we are taught to respect fear more than ourselves. We've been taught that silence would save us, but it won't.
