Services for Faculty

The Writing Center strives to make better writers. We believe our work enhances the college experience by providing a place outside the classroom where writers can receive one-on-one attention and discuss their work. But, as many professors know, our work is not limited to three rooms on the first floor of the library. Peer tutors visit classes in order to talk about the Writing Center with students. Tutors also come to classes to assist students with specific assignments, usually working in small groups. For many classes, tutors also run special workshops that help students with a specific class or assignment. The links on the left will guide you through the various services the Center provides for teachers and students in and out of the classroom. Of course, the Writing Center is always open for suggestions for new programs to better assist the writers in your particular classes.
