How do I schedule an appointment?
You have several options:
1) use our online scheduler,
2) stop by during our walk-in hours, and we'll do our best to assist you, or
3) email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance or additional availability.
E-mailing or stopping by are the best options if you can't make any of the posted hours.
For Non-Native Speakers of English
Writing is hard. But it can be especially hard when you're not writing in your native language. Research has shown that learning to write academically in another language happens much more slowly than learning to converse informally in the same language. We know it can be frustrating when you can't find the English words to put into writing the complex ideas you have in your head. At the Writing Center, our goal is to help you get past the language barriers so your readers can appreciate your knowledge and ideas.
Many international students and other English Language Learners make weekly appointments with a tutor. When you've met a tutor whom you like, make an appointment online, and be sure to check the box to have the appointment repeat on the same day each week.
Meanwhile, the resources below may help you develop your English writing skills.
