\"\"<\/a>Michele A. (Everett) Shipley \u201892 is currently a Client Service Associate at Delmarva Financial Group (DFG) in Arnold, Maryland. Prior to her employment with DFG, she was a paralegal for over thirty years before retiring from the legal profession in March 2026. She worked at Hyatt & Weber, P.A. in Annapolis for over twenty six years and then worked at Allegis Group, Inc., for over four years. At Hyatt & Weber, Shipley worked in a wide variety of practice areas, including banking, contracts, estates & trusts, real estate, land use, zoning and litigation. As a corporate paralegal at Allegis Group, she assisted with litigation and managed all aspects of corporate governance and compliance.<\/p>\n

Shipley has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary\u2019s College of Maryland (Class of 1992) and earned a Certificate of Paralegal Studies at Anne Arundel Community College in 1995. She has been a PACE - Registered Paralegal\u00ae since 2005.\u00a0 She is a member of the Maryland Association of Paralegals, the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.<\/p>\n

The St. Mary\u2019s Way inspires Shipley to give back to her alma maters and community through service and mentorship. Since 2019, Shipley has served in various leadership roles for the Alumni Association of St. Mary\u2019s College of Maryland. She assumed the presidency of the Alumni Association in July 2026.\u00a0 She is the Co-Chair of the Paralegal Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, serves on the Approval Commission for the American Bar Association and is a member of the the Advisory Board of the Legal Studies Institute at Anne Arundel Community College. In addition to her service to the legal profession and to St. Mary\u2019s College, she is on the Board of Governors for the Cape St. Claire Improvement Association.<\/p>\n

Shipley has several family members that are proud alumni of the College, including her sister Kathleen (Everett) Hornig \u201890, brother-in-law Rick Hornig \u201889, and her youngest daughter, Emily Shipley \u201823.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
