Banking\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/businessoffice\/students-parents\/onecard\/\">One Card &amp; Banking<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Meal Plans\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/businessoffice\/students-parents\/meal-plans\/\">Meal Plans<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Parking\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/businessoffice\/students-parents\/parking\/\">Parking<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a title=\"FAQs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/businessoffice\/students-parents\/faqs\/\">FAQs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-5-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">New Portal for Students<\/h3>\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>St. Mary\u2019s College of Maryland, in partnership with Anthology, Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of the new student portal, <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu\/\">https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 The new student portal is your gateway to your academic and financial information housed in the new Anthology Student Information System (SIS) which launched in October of 2024.\u00a0 The project is a culmination of years of work by the Executive Committee, the Office of Information Technology, Academic Affairs, the Business Office, Institutional Research, Financial Aid and Admission.\u00a0 The benefits of the new system include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greater security aligned to current standards<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced course search \u2013 view all courses in a semester or filter by keyword, course code, open\/closed, day\/time<\/li>\n<li>Clean, modern, <a href=\"https:\/\/help.anthology.com\/PRT\/24.3\/Student\/Content\/StudentPortal\/AccessibilityOverview%20.htm\">accessible<\/a> and mobile-friendly portal<\/li>\n<li>Ability to export your schedule to your calendar app<\/li>\n<li>View and download tax form 1098T<\/li>\n<li>Institutional efficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As we continue to add and enable new features in the coming weeks, you\u2019ll start to see more online forms replace paper forms and more integrations that honor your preferred name.<\/p>\n<p>Before you log into the portal, there are some things you need to know:<\/p>\n<h2>Student\u00a0 Accounts<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Winter 2024 and spring 2025 tuition bills will show on the portal under \u201cMy Finances \u2013 Account Information\u201d as pending all the way at the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Payment plans were suspended during the transition.\u00a0 Students must set up a new plan in December which can include the winter 2024 and spring 2025 billing.\u00a0 Bills will still be due on December 13, 2024 but no late fees will be charged until February 2025 for outstanding balances.<\/li>\n<li>You must create a new payer profile in Transact\/Cashnet by clicking on \u201cMake a Payment\u201d under \u201cFinances\u201d in the left menu.\u00a0 Disable pop-ups in your browser to allow for the CashNet portal to open.\n<ul>\n<li>Transactions prior to October 4 will not show in the new CashNet profile but they will show in the SMCM student portal, <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu\/\">https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu<\/a>, under \u201cAccount Information.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Saved payment methods prior to October 4 will need to be added back into your new Transact\/CashNet profile.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a parent or guardian that contributes to your payments, you will need to send them a new invitation to CashNet by navigating to \u201cMy Account\u201d and then selecting \u201cSend a payer invitation.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We realize this transition can be stressful. If you have any questions, please contact the cashier&#8217;s desk at 240-895-4302 or <a href=\"mailto:studentaccounts@smcm.edu\">studentaccounts@smcm.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Financial Aid<\/h2>\n<p>Under Financial Aid Overview, your estimated remaining cost may not be correctly displayed.\u00a0 The Office of Student Financial Assistance is working with Anthology to resolve this issue.<\/p>\n<h2>Logging into the New Portal<\/h2>\n<p>Navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu\/\">https:\/\/portal.smcm.edu<\/a> on your computer or mobile device.
