When snow is in the forecast, the Grounds Department jumps into action. \u00a0Implementing snow removal plans that have been developed in advance, Grounds takes control of pre-treating common areas such as walkways, Campus roads and parking lots. \u00a0As snow begins to fall, roads and parking lots are plowed and walkways cleared.<\/p>\n
The entire Grounds Department is put on alert working on a 24 hour operation cycle if necessary to ensure the safety of the Campus community. \u00a0The Grounds Staff works diligently to clear snow while also applying salt and de-icing materials to help with and maintain the clearing of \u00a0building entrances, steps, handicapped accesses and loading ramps.<\/p>\n
